An established insurance broker

Cliverton has nearly forty years experience in providing animal related industries with specialist insurance cover. Cliverton was founded in 1973, as a general insurance broker specialising in the livestock sector from the outset. Today we maintain our position as the market leader in our field.

Providing specialist cover

The company developed specialist schemes to cover a range of animal related industries, for rural businesses, farms and smallholdings. We continue to develop products for these industries and we aim to be the broker of first choice for the specialist animal and rural markets in which we operate.

By specialising in selected classes of insurance, Cliverton has developed relationships with insurers which enable us to arrange cover for risks which have, traditionally, proved to be difficult to place. Most of our business is arranged through special schemes with insurance companies, which are exclusive to Cliverton.

A progressive insurance company

More recently we have expanded our insurance product range to include security guards, working dogs and pest control buisinesses. From February 2012 we have also added enhanced cover for shoots, shooting suyndicates and clay pigeon clubs.

The Cliverton website is being developed to answer to consumer's demands for rapid service. Three of our schemes can now be quoted and purchased online with immediate cover. This instant service will be rolled out to include other products in the Cliverton insurance schemes range.

Regulation bringing peace of mind

We regard the security of insurers as paramount and we only arrange insurance through companies which are approved by the Financial Services Authority.

Following the retirement of the original owner in 2003, Cliverton now operates as a separate trading division of Lycetts, who are regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Please see the regulatory section for further information.
