Animal transit and mortality insurance policies are written on a bespoke basis depending on the nature of the animal(s) to be transported, their value and the transit destination.
For small animals of limited value, insurance cover will normally be restricted to the perils of fire, lightning, explosion, and collision/overturning, in which cover can include the value of the animal and the shipping expenses.
More expensive animals can be insured against a wider range of perils, and annual insurance policies can be arranged for shipping agencies.
