Japanese earthquake
Although no longer front page news, the Japanese earthquake and Tsunami of 11th March 2011 continues to affect Japan’s industrial output. An effect of this is that we are becoming aware that there are shortages of components and spare parts for certain Japanese vehicles.
Where such vehicles have been damaged in road traffic accidents, insurers are working with the manufacturers and body repair workshops to carry out the repairs with genuine parts where possible but, in certain circumstances, agreement has been reached that warranties will not be breached where non genuine parts are fitted.
