COVID-19 update

We are receiving a high number of calls asking the same question regarding the extent of cover under our insurance policies in the current circumstances.
If you are in the small animal trades industry such as a Dog Walker or Pet Minder and have a policy with us underwritten by Aspen please see below answers to the most frequently asked questions:

Is my policy operative and would it respond in the event of a claim?
In simple terms, yes. There is nothing within our policy that would exclude cover and so the policy would respond, subject always to the terms and conditions of the policy.

Should we carry on working?
Clivertons’ Employers’, Public and Products Liability cover remains operative at this time, however we are unable to comment on whether you should continue to trade as an essential worker/service. Guidance from the Government, your Local Authority and/or trade body should be taken in order to address this point.
