16th October 2018

Cliverton are proud to announce that we have been given the honour of being named as “Scheme Broker of the Year 2018” at the Insurance Times broker awards which took place.

Some of the judges comments were –

▶ “Very positive and lots to like”

▶ “Do what they do exceedingly well and continually looking to expand. A great entry.”

Below is the article from the Insurance Times.

“Its service to clients includes the support of a dedicated, knowledgeable and sympathetic in-house claims team, which further guarantees that the person dealing with the claim is experienced in the animal-trade sector.
The schemes-only broker also demonstrated its plans to grow the business and create new schemes by identifying opportunities in the sector.
The judging panel particularly liked the broker’s ability to work with insurers to develop new schemes for specific animal-related trades and expand existing products to provide comprehensive cover for its clients.
In addition, its active involvement with animal-trade affinity groups further demonstrated its importance in the sector and its commitment to educating, advising and informing its customers. According to the judges, the broker’s pledge to also educate its staff about its clients’ businesses by arranging visits also made the submission stand out from the competition.
Another example was its comprehensive training programme which equips staff with product and industry knowledge was also deemed impressive. In addition, all new staff are encouraged to study for professional qualifications.
Judges noted that the broker’s hard work to succeed in its chosen field had been successful and highlighted that Cliverton had the ability to grow further in the sector. The submission also included evidence that, four years into the journey, the business was on target to reach its goal to double the size of the business in five years.
Its ambitious objectives for 2017/18 included developing successful partnerships with insurers, increasing cross-selling and develop three profitable new schemes.
All in all it was the mix of providing good service to customers, investing in training of its staff, knowledge and continuous improvement that led to Cliverton’s victory in this prestigious category.”
